EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS FOR VOTERS AND POLLING STATION OFFICIALS ON 23 JULY 2023

CIRCULAR Nº 20/ JULY 2023.

On Sunday 23 July 2023, workers who have the status of ELECTORS, and who do not take their weekly rest on that day, will be granted will be granted paid leave by the company of up to a maximum of 4 hours (depending on their working hours), in order to enable them to participate in the elections.

Workers who do not take their weekly rest on Sunday 23 July 2023 and have been appointed PRESIDENT OR MEMBERS OF THE POLLING STATION, as well as those who as a STAKEHOLDERS, are entitled to paid leave during the day of the ballot and for five days on the day of the vote and five hours on the day immediately following the vote.

Workers who can prove that they are REPRESENTATIVES OF A POLITICAL PARTY are entitled to paid leave on the day of the vote and for five hours on the day immediately following, if they do not take their weekly rest on that day.

If any of the employees appointed as PRESIDENT, MEMBERS OF THE POLLING STATION, STAKEHOLDERS or REPRESENTATIVES OF A POLITICAL PARTY should have to work the night shift on the date immediately prior to polling day, the company shall, at the request of the person concerned, change his or her shift.

Reductions in the working day of the workers mentioned in the previous paragraphs,

shall not entail a reduction in the remuneration that they have been receiving for all concepts. Adequate justification shall be provided by the presentation of a voting certificate or, where appropriate, accreditation from the corresponding polling station.
